Born in Napier, New Zealand. Studied Architecture at the University of Auckland, graduating with a B.Arch in 1993 and an M.Arch (distinction) in 1996. Instead of getting a job and settling down, spent several years mountaineering in Peru, Nepal & Alaska – before moving to London.
In 2018 Andrew established the Barnes Art Fair, and has recently founded West London Printmakers to provide opportunities for local South West London artists and printmakers to exhibit and sell their work. He is also currently the Treasurer of the East London Printmakers C.I.C.
Specialising in traditional intaglio printmaking techniques such as acid resist etching, mezzotint & aquatint at the highly regarded East London Printmakers studios in Mile End, Andrew creates limited edition prints on a wide variety of subjects ranging from contemporary Polynesian design, Greek mythology and local London townscapes. More recently Andrew has been focusing on creating a new collection of affordable limited edition silkscreen prints for Local and National Art Fairs.
